A Love That Stewards All

A sweet moment here, recently. It’s me with Toke Moeller and Monica Nissen, people that I consider the best of mixes — friends, mentors, elders, fellow human beings, companions, fellow creatives. The picture was in Denmark at their home.

Toke is a person that has had huge influence on me. It’s lots of things. But perhaps most, it’s his commitment to the heart. It’s his commitment to presence. It’s his clarity of commitment to what to live and what to do. It’s his jumping in to stream of life to try to create some harmony and to try to be living in harmony. These are keen aspects of the deeper why for me that I try to hold in myself and invite with others.

There are many ways that these two people come with me wherever I go encouraging invitation and clarity.

Recently, Toke sent one of his poems (written in 2009). It speaks again to my heart — in what is a river of deeper why.

This love is
indeed stewarding us all
and all there is
– I have no doubt in that

To learn how to be stewarding as I am being stewarded by life
is a gift of great proportion
I hear my heart singing to me in this moment

So much space is there
in that knowing of the reality of love
and
as this life web of love weaves us
into being alive for a wee while,
to meet others in companionship
to be healed
to come back to zero and enter ONE

– to know and to let go into
a trust in trust

To know truly that this sweet kindness
is our core
– one and all

what a gift to be able to offer good work
from such heart
in service of this quality
that words can not ever reach

bowing from my center
to your center
I am in happiness once again.

A bow from my center, to such living and practice from center.

    and

“– to know and to let go into
    a trust in trust”

I hear my heart singing to me in this moment … needing also to know and to let go into a trust in trust.

So needed by me today as I enter the next phase of “house clearing.” It takes an extraordinary degree of trust in myself and in the moment to face this moment, this day.
