Balance Near Fire

I so enjoyed yesterday evening with a small group of friends. Near a forest. With a fire in fire pit.

I so loved the friendship, spoken into words, yet also eased in silent stares to the fire, or up to the half moon. With background hoots of Barred Owl.

I so loved balancing this stone. I love the attention to slight, slight nuance that leads to a certain beauty meant only to be momentary.

Fire warms us. Friends too. Stones balance. Friends too. Owls hoot, as did we, with our own kind of song and story.

Sweet joy.
