I love the little forest walk near where my folks live. In the south part of Edmonton — Edmonton is where I grew up. In that little forest, there’s birch, maple, spruce and a few others. There’s yarrow, and these fireweed looking purple blooms. And a few others. Got to walk there several times last week. With Dana. With my folks. All of us.
Nothing too profound here on this. I just like the delight of it. The light on these blooms. The surprise. The company. The slow pace. The purpose of no purpose. The noticing of things. The being noticed by things.
Something in all of that makes for quite a great day.

So lovely to have seen you, and met Dana, this time in YEG. Maybe next time I’ll join you on your walk, or you can join me on one of mine.
Indeed. Thank you Katharine.
