I relate to the roaring courage. The audacity. The boldness. The fierceness. The clarity. Hmm…, emboldened kinds of words.
I also relate to the quiet voice. Just the next step. Just the next hello. Just the next wander. Just the acknowledged moment of “not today.” Sometimes self-kindness is courage.
And let’s not forget community. Be it family. Or colleagues. Or old friends. The ones that witness and help to grow courage, roaring or quiet. I’m learning to lean to this even further.
Here we go. For the good of the good that any of us heartbeat our ways forward with.
Sometimes courage is sitting with the uncomfortable, with the hard, and letting that be present in my body until it’s eased it’s way into less hard.
