I love these gems from the author and mythologist, Michael Meade.
In particular, with this one, there is a key element that Quanita Roberson and I emphasize in our Fire & Water Leadership & Rite of Passage Journey. It is to go to the deeply inner, knowing that it is intricately woven to what is happening in the outer.
That and, well, not all of life is ascent. In the descent is some of the most sought-after and needed medicine — the wisdom of becoming with what already is. The wisdom of belonging that already is.
From a morning watching dark clouds passing through, and another departure (from visiting loved ones) that has me aware of the heart tenderness that can so often come with descents.
I have known the visceral truth of this for some time…that I don’t need another book, podcast, e-zine but to trust at this time in my life, I have accumulated enough, I am enough and that to mine my interior depths will give me what I need. And if not, I will sit longer, and ask. Too, the importance, the necessity of a shift to descending withtin our own depths and darkness…much alchemical wisdom in this process. Thanks, Tenneson.
“go to the deeply inner, knowing that it is intricately woven to what is happening in the outer.”
and
“the wisdom of becoming with what already is. The wisdom of belonging that already is.”
Hmm. hmm. Sitting with that in “wholeheartedness” today.
