For Some of Us

A poem that came through this morning. That balanced in me, like the stones on my bistro table yesterday in Spring’s warming sun.

For Some of Us
Tenneson Woolf

For some of us,
we aren’t to remain
in wounded vulnerability forever.

For some of us,
we are glad to have been guided
to peek, to dwell, to let intensify.

For some of us,
we are to recognize our time to return
more fully to this world, sewn and stitched.

For some of us,
we are to celebrate the deliberateness of departure we have shown,
and know it as wise.

For some of us,
we are readied to return with our added clarity and conviction,
to offer the good that is ours to offer.

For some of us,
we are clear enough to let go, respectfully,
that which isn’t ours to carry.
