Given my last post on “jobs,” this poem brought me to full grin. It’s healthy to remember, and be reminded from time to time, that worry isn’t really “lucrative” nor as promising as the advertisements state, no?

Oh, I love this. I’ve lately been considering whether there is “one essential thing” for me to consider as I wake in the morning. Annie Dillard wrote, “I think it would be well, and proper, and obedient, and pure, to grasp your one necessity and not let it go, to dangle from it limp wherever it takes you.” One necessity. Not two necessities.
