Seeing Differently

From a nice little drive yesterday, Lincoln Beach, on the south side of Utah Lake. I haven’t seen Bald Eagles there before. Yesterday there were four. And a huge Golden Eagle. All in the quiet of a winter morning in which I sought seeing, differently.

I woke,
wishing departure
from routines.

I drove,
seeking
sight.

Looking
over lake shore
was Bald Eagle.

That was enough
for me to see
quite differently through the day.

  1. I am always struck by how two people viewing the same sight notice different elements. Our moods, our past, our now let us hear and see uniquely. Then, sometimes we are nudged by unexpected beauty. What a gift you were given for your day.
