“This is a wonderful day.
I’ve never seen this one before.“
Thanks to Maya Angelou — Missouri-born poet, writer, activist who died almost a decade ago. I smiled ear-to-ear grin when I read such simple yet important guidance. Had me appreciating Maya Angelou, and thinking of my Grandmas Lena and Fern.
Here’s to the newness we find in our hearts that keeps us exploring, appreciating, and loving. Exploring self and other. Exploring inner and outer. Exploring the familiarity (of a thing called a “day”) and the newness (“…never seen this one before…”).
A bow and a smile. Now off to coffee. And some newness of visiting parents.
